Based in the Listed historic Forse House and beautiful grounds, Forse of Nature offers a fantastic opportunity to escape to the peace and quiet of the Caithness countryside. Your gateway to The Flow Country.
About Us
We are a family-run business, who have an underlying ethos of working with nature and the environment to offer a variety of tourism related facilities. We are gradually renovating and restoring Forse House to create a bespoke destination enhancing and utilising the fabulous house and setting.
The principals behind our approach are “keeping it simple, sustainable and affordable”.
The Guest House and Café features upcycled and re-styled furniture, incorporating a Georgian style with eco-friendly and sustainable pieces.
Our home made food for the Guest House and café uses homegrown, locally sourced and sustainable produce, with many of our seasonal veggies and salads grown in the walled garden.
Our aim is to protect, enhance and promote the nature, environment and history associated with Forse and its surrounding area, and so, as the business grows we will invest into renewable technology in order to reduce our carbon footprint.

We offer a range of comfortable, flexible licenced accommodation ranging from a single room, doubles, en-suites, family rooms, the four poster suite and a self contained suite
Weddings, Meetings, Functions and Events
Here at Forse of Nature we have a variety of meeting and function spaces.
These can be part or fully catered and can include accommodation to suit.

Craft Centre
We are very proud to showcase a very wide range of locally produced crafts from over 80 individual crafters all based in the Caithness and wider Highlands.
The perfect place to find beautiful and handcrafted gifts! Lots of lovely local produce including knitwear, art, chocolates, craft beer, gin, rum and whiskey as well as hundreds of unique creations with a Scottish twist!
Children’s Parties and Ranger Services
Here at Forse of Nature we love a good children’s party.
Led by Ellie, a qualified countryside ranger, we are happy to host a variety of children’s events.
Whether you are into bug hunts, den building and treasure hunts or Princesses, jewellery making and crafts; we can help create the perfect party for your child.
If you are a school, scout, guide or brownie group then why not make use of our facilities to engage with nature, have fun and maybe have a sausage sizzle in our woodlands.
